二级域名（Second-level domain）

经常听到二级域名这个东西，那到底什么二级域名呢？

错误的理解：

有人认为 360converter.com是一个一级域名，而 www.itye.org就是一个二级域名。

正确的理解：

其实上面的理解的错误的，360converter.com这是一个域名，其中com是顶级域名（记住没有一级域名（first-level domain）这一叫法），而二级就是360converter。

顶级域名(TLD)有通用顶级域名(gTLD)和国家代号顶级域名(ccTLD)。

gTLD:

如： com net org

ccTLD

如： au cn us
